Boy band BTOB to hold concerts in celebration of 10 years
Boy band BTOB is holding concerts to celebrate 10 years at the KSPO Dome in Songpa District, southern Seoul.
Titled “Be Together,” the three-day event starting Dec. 30 is BTOB’s first in-person concert as a whole in four years.
The KSPO Dome can accommodate up to 25,000 people, and all tickets for the BTOB concerts are sold out.
“BTOB’s 10th anniversary feels like a middle point,” Lee Changsub said during a press conference the same day.
Lee Minhyuk also likened the anniversary to an “intermission” in the band’s career.
“Preparing for the concert was a time to look back at the 10 years we’ve been together as a group,” Seo Eunkwang said. “Since we’ve all completed our military duties, all that’s left is for BTOB to be happy. We’re going to enjoy the concert as much as we can.”
In February, BTOB released its third full-length album “Be Together” to celebrate the 10th anniversary of its debut and the first time since 2018 that all six members were together. It last released the EP “This is Us” with all six members in June 2018.
It has been about four years since the band dropped music with all members participating, as they have taken staggered turns joining the military.
“We’re planning to perform overseas next year,” Lim Hyunsik said. “We want to give opportunities for international Melody [the name of BTOB fans] to meet with us.”
BTOB debuted in 2012 as a seven-member band with the song “Insane.” The band’s name stands for “Born to Beat.” BTOB currently has members Seo Eunkwang, Lee Minhyuk, Lee Changsub, Lim Hyunsik, Peniel Shin and Yook Sungjae.
