BTS’s Jungkook to perform at 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar opening ceremony
Jungkook of boy band BTS will perform at the opening ceremony of the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar.
BTS’s agency Big Hit Music, under HYBE, made the announcement Saturday through its official social media channels, writing that “Jungkook will participate in the Qatar World Cup’s official soundtrack and the opening ceremony performance.”
Speculation had been circulating regarding Jungkook performing at the World Cup since it became known that he visited Qatar last month. The opening ceremony at this year’s World Cup will include six to seven teams of world-class artists, according to the organizers.
The opening ceremony of the Qatar World Cup will be held at the Al Bayt Stadium in Al Khor, Qatar, on Nov. 22.
BTS members are currently focusing on individual activities as the mandatory military service enlistment of the band’s members approaches. Following J-Hope and Jin, member RM is set to release solo music in December.
