‘Habitat One’ exhibition opens at Hyundai Motor Studio Seoul
Hyundai Motor began an exhibition titled “Habitat One” themed around a carbon-neutral future society at its Hyundai Motor Studio Seoul exhibit space in southern Seoul.
The two-month exhibition kicked off on Saturday in collaboration with ecoLogicStudio, a British design group specializing in bioengineered architecture, to let visitors picture a life of sustainability and carbon neutrality through artworks made using the latest technology.
The exhibition took place last July at the carmaker’s studio in Busan and saw over 100,000 visitors.
“Tree One” is the main attraction of the exhibition, a 3-D printed installation using biodegradable plastic. Two media facades located in and outside of the building will play an artificial intelligence (AI) generated video titled “Habitat One: The architecture of the carbon neutral city” that shows what what it’s like living in an eco-friendly future society.
“Hyundai Motor is continuing its efforts toward carbon neutrality under the slogan ‘Progress for Humanity,'” the company said in a press release. “We hope to provide an opportunity for people to think about a sustainable future that comes as a result of creativity and technology.”
