K-pop album exports on track to hit an all-time high in 2022
K-pop album exports may hit an all-time high this year.
Through November, K-pop album exports hit $215.69 million, according to the Korea Customs Service’s import and export trade statistics on Sunday.
For 2021 full year, this figure was $220.83 million
In 2022 through November, K-pop album exports to Japan totaled $77.51 million, the highest for all export destinations. For China, the figure was $50.88 million, and for United States, it was $35.28 million.
Taiwan, Thailand, the Netherlands, Germany, Hong Kong, Indonesia and France followed in the top 10 export destinations for K-pop albums.
