LEGO to release BTS-themed set designed after ‘Dynamite’ music video
LEGO will release a brick set designed after boy band BTS’s music video set for its 2020 megahit “Dynamite” in collaboration with the K-pop sensation, the toy company announced earlier this month.
The 749-piece LEGO set features iconic scenes from the hit “Dynamite” music video, including miniature figures of the band’s seven members, available for the first time as LEGO figures.
The set “includes the vibrant donut shop, ice cream truck and record store […] [all] detachable […] for individual play and display experiences,” reads the official announcement from LEGO from Feb. 16.
Part of LEGO Ideas, the BTS set started from a design created by two fans of the boy band.
“When we saw [BTS fans] Josh and Jacob’s colorful design, we knew it would be a hit, and this was proved by how quickly they reached 10,000 views in the LEGO Ideas voting,” said Federico Begher, head of LEGO Product Group.
The LEGO Ideas BTS Dynamite set will be sold worldwide, including in Korea starting from March 1. It will be priced at 149,000 won ($115).
