Release of WayV’s fourth EP ‘Phantom’ postponed indefinitely
The release of boy band WayV’s fourth EP “Phantom” has been postponed indefinitely, according to SM Entertainment on Nov. 30.
“The release date for WayV’s fourth EP ‘Phantom,’ which was set for Dec. 9, has been postponed indefinitely,” the agency said in a statement Wednesday. “The teaser images and videos, which were supposed to be released from Nov. 30 and onward, have also been postponed. We ask for your understanding and we will announce the changed schedules in the future.”
SM Entertainment did not specify any reason for the postponement.
WayV debuted as a China-based subunit of boy band NCT in 2019 with the digital EP “The Vision.” It consists of seven members: Xiaojun, Kun, Ten, Winwin, Yangyang, Hendery and Lucas.
Lucas is currently on an indefinite hiatus after controversial news about his personal relationships broke last year.
The boy band’s latest release was its third EP “Kick Back” in March 2021.
