Police on Friday apprehended a man in his 30s who fled after allegedly stabbing his girlfriend to death.
The 33-year-old, identified by his surname Kim, is accused of stabbing his 47-year-old girlfriend at an underground parking lot located in Geumcheon District, southern Seoul.
He was found by the police in Paju, Gyeonggi Province on Friday after about 8 hours on the run.
According to the JoongAng Ilbo, the Geumcheon Police Precinct at 4 a.m. Friday received a report that the man committed dating violence against the 47-year-old. The couple reportedly lived together.

The Geumcheon Police Precinct then received a report at around 10:40 a.m. that some blood stains were found in an underground parking lot.
According to the police, CCTV footage showed the man stabbing his girlfriend, leaving the site at around 7:17 a.m., carrying the woman in a rented car.
The man was found at around 3:30 p.m. near his acquaintance’s house in Paju. But the woman was found dead in the back seat of the car he drove to run away.
