BTS’s Suga to begin mandatory service
BTS’s Suga began his mandatory service enlistment process after canceling his enlistment postponement.
His agency Big Hit Music announced on the fan platform Weverse that “Suga has started the process of fulfilling his military service” on Monday.
“Suga has completed the application for canceling the postponement of his enlistment, and follow-up news regarding his military enlistment will be announced as soon as it is decided,” the agency wrote on Weverse. “We ask for warm support and unchanging love until the day Suga completes his military service and returns in good health. We will continue our support for our artist.”
Suga is expected to be the third member of BTS to enlist in the military, following members Jin and J-Hope. All Korean men fit to serve have to complete mandatory service of at least 18 months.
Before Suga, Jin and J-Hope enlisted in the Army in December last year and April this year, respectively.
Suga wrapped up his world tour, “Agust D Tour ‘D-Day’ The Final,” from Friday to Sunday at the KSPO Dome at Olympic Park in Songpa District, southern Seoul.
